Indeed Mark, I have got the book for years already, so far it’s the only source where the fairy tale is documented. Although even there it’s shortened and re-written by Eyre, but it’s a fascinating piece following the traditional Hero’s story (as described by Joseph Campbell)
Actually Mark, the “Three Princes of Serendip” has many variations, I have recently read the version which probably inspired Horace Walpole as well.
