The conference in Gothenburg will give participants a possibility to learn more about how social capital can be stimulated and be used in practical work for change. It will also provide an opportunity to create social capital and collective action. The conference will offer a number of presentations but there will be workshops also in which people will take part and co-create the content. The organizers will implement some elements of an innovative conference structure. They will connect the local with the virtual, reaching a globally distributed audience, using social media and the Living Bridges Planet network.
I am excited to meet with all the great people around this initiative. I am also pleased to have an opportunity on Sunday (2nd Dec) to share my thoughts about serendipity in my presentation “Luck, insight – or social capital? Elements of serendipity”
There will be a live webcast from the event, follow #scwf12 for detailed information. More info about the event here.
